Theft of an Umbrella


Thomas Walsh was charged with the stealing an umbrella, the property of Mrs. Barnes, at Adlington. Prisoner was drunk at the time, and said he took it merely to defend himself against the attack of some person, and not with the intention of committing a felony.

- Discharged with a caution
