An Indecent Vagrant

A man of almost beastly appearance, and who gave the name of James Gerrard, was charged by William Edwards with appearing in front of Mr Gerrard's mill at Adlington, on the previous day, in a state of perfect nudity, with a crowd of boys and girls gathered round him. He stated that he belonged to Blackrod, and was a labouring man.

Comitted to hard labour for three months.
